Meet the Lab

The Latinx Mental Health and Resiliency Research Lab focuses on developing an understanding of how individual factors, family dynamics, culture, and society impact Latinx adolescent and emerging adult depression, suicidal ideation and behaviors, and well-being with a particular focus on the Mexican American population. Our work takes a holistic and resiliency approach that acknowledges the complexity and intersection of various identities and contexts about well-being and mental health disparities.

Dr. Piña-Watson will review applications to accept students for the 2023-2024 incoming cohort.
